Project Overview
The National Army Museum is a leading authority on the British Army and its impact on society past and present. The five dynamic new galleries showcase thousands of objects from across the collections. Situated over four floors, they tell a huge range of stories throughout the army’s history.
Brief scope of works
Major Alterations and Refurbishment to create 5 permanent state-of-the-art galleries, learning and research facilities, and a refreshed café, shop and children’s play area. With new dedicated learning spaces, offering sessions, study days, tours, projects and online resources to support schools, youth groups, colleges and adult learning. SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd was involved at an early stage. We assisted discussion with the Fire Engineers and carried out early consultation with the London Fire Brigade to allow the design to progress with much reduced risk from an early point including a large internal Atrium space.
