Steps to Approval
Initial Notice
An Initial Notice is a given by us, your private Building Control provider, to your Local Authority. This informs the Local Authority that SOCOTEC Building Control are to act as the Building Control Body for the works.
Plan Checks
We review your project’s plans and will provide a clear schedule identifying areas of noncompliance with the Building Regulations.
Site Inspections
Throughout the construction process, our team conducts regular site inspections to verify, as far as is reasonably practicable, that the works presented to us align with submitted and reviewed plans and comply with regulatory requirements. These inspections are crucial to ascertain the robustness of the regulatory process.
Final Certificates
Once your project is complete and declarations have been provided by the dutyholders, we provide a Final Certificate, which is the statutory evidence required on completion of a project.
