New Sprinkler Regulations Now in Force

The key changes are:

• New provisions for sprinklers in care homes
• Removal of National Classes for reaction to fire and roofs
• Regulation 38 and Fire Safety information

Applications received before 2 March must be ‘started and sufficiently progressed’ within 6 months of that date.

We’ll be keeping a close eye out for further amendments as the Building Safety Regulator has said it is ‘ committed to continuous review of Approved Document B’.
